Business Days Calculator

Count working days between two dates, excluding weekends and the holidays you list, or add business days to a date.

10 business days

2026-10-05 → 2026-10-16 · 12 calendar days · 2 weekend days

Weekends are Saturday and Sunday, always: there is no per-country setting. Holidays that fall on a weekend cannot take a working day away, so they are not counted as holidays.

What does this tool do?

Two things that normally live in separate pages: counts the working days between two dates, and adds a number of working days to a date to get the resulting day.

The rules, written down

  • Weekends are Saturday and Sunday, always. There is no per-country setting, because a country selector would make every calendar in the world a configuration question.
  • Both ends count. From Monday to Friday is five days, not four.
  • Holidays are yours. They are typed in, one per line, and a holiday that falls on a Saturday is not reported as a holiday: that day was not going to be worked anyway, so counting it as one would take it away twice.
  • An entry that is not a date does not block the calculation. It is listed separately, so a typo in a long list is visible instead of fatal.

Keep in mind

Reversing the two dates gives the same count, and the result shows them in order so you can see what was counted. When adding days, the starting day is not counted as one of them: three business days from a Monday lands on Thursday. Nothing leaves your browser.
