## What does this tool do?

A JSON Web Token (JWT) is three base64url-encoded parts — header, payload and signature —
separated by dots. This tool decodes the header and payload so you can inspect the claims,
algorithm and expiry timestamps.

## ⚠️ Important

Decoding a JWT **does not verify its signature**. This tool tells you what is inside a token, but
it does **not** prove the token is authentic or was issued by who it claims to be. Never trust a
token's claims just because they decode successfully. Everything here runs locally in your
browser.
